K53 command signs (blue circle signs): meanings and what to do
17 command signs from the South African road signs manual, with how to recognise each one.
Command signs tell you what you must do, such as keeping left or using a minimum speed. They are blue circles with white symbols. The K53 learner's test expects you to recognise the sign and pick the correct response, so the table below pairs each sign with the clue that identifies it.
| Sign | Name | How to recognise it |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum speed R101 | A blue circle with a white number. It looks like a speed limit but is blue, not red-bordered. | |
| Keep left R103 | A blue circle with a white arrow slanting down to the left. | |
| Keep right R104 | A blue circle with a white arrow slanting down to the right. | |
