Privacy policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

AceK53 ("the app", "we") is published by Monetzi (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa. This policy explains what the app stores, what it sends, and the choices you have. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

No account required

You do not create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or contacts.

What stays on your device

Your study preferences, reading progress, bookmarks, practice answers, weekly study days, saved questions and signs, mock-exam results, test-day checklist and accessibility settings are stored on your device. We do not receive them.

Anonymous usage data

To find bugs and improve lessons, the app sends anonymous usage events to PostHog (hosted in the United States). These include which screens you open, which chapters and questions you work on, whether answers were correct, your plan (Free, trial or Pro), the app version and your phone type. Events are tied to a random device identifier, not to your identity. We do not send your free-text answers. Search words you type into the chapter, sign and question searches are sent in shortened form.

You can switch this off at any time in Settings → Anonymous usage data.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your card details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your Pro access is active and to restore purchases. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and your purchase and subscription status from the store. We also pass the random analytics identifier above to RevenueCat so purchase events can be matched to anonymous usage.

Other services

Read-aloud uses your device's built-in speech voices. Links to outside websites take you to sites with their own privacy practices.

Children

The app is for people studying for a learner's licence. It is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Contact us below. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will also be shown in the app.
